We are growing!

On Friday May 16, our team of HWDSB teachers with IThink training grew! 20 new classroom teachers from Intermediate and Senior divisions across the Board joined our existing team for a series of informative and innovative sessions provided to new members by the original teacher leaders. Our original IThink HWDSB team have also signed on to be available to answer any questions or to walk through the Integrative Thinking journey of others who are interested. This project is changing the learning experiences of our students and teachers! Honest and relevant testimonials were shared, ranging from how high school teachers are using causal modelling to help students who have struggled with the Grade 10 literacy test to recognize their ability to write essays, Math prototyping for Grade 8 students, empowering students as they explore why people are mean to each other, and helping students understand how violence happens, as well as the status of our First Nations population.

Affect and cognition are developed as our students engage in new learning. Powerful stuff!
